- 1 Barbed wire is restricted in residential areas — only permitted on commercial and industrial properties above 8 feet in most NYC zones
- 2 Residential height limits — front yards generally max ~4 feet, side and rear yards up to 6 feet without variance
- 3 Temporary construction fencing must comply with NYC DOB site safety requirements — typically 6 feet minimum with proper signage
- 4 Commercial properties over 10 feet may require DOB permits and site plans — we handle the paperwork
