New York has specific height and placement rules for residential fencing. We handle all of this during your estimate — every fence we install meets or exceeds local building codes.
- 1 Front yard max ~4 feet in most NYC residential zones — taller fences may require variance
- 2 Backyard max ~6 feet for standard residential lots — 8-foot heights available where zoning allows
- 3 Pool enclosures require 4-foot minimum fencing with self-closing, self-latching gates per NYC and Nassau County pool safety codes
- 4 Property line setback rules vary by borough and town — fences typically must be set inside your property line
